Add adjuvant Kantor to avoid a tank mixing problem

With inclement weather in March & April spray jobs are stacking up. Are you forced to combine spray jobs, resulting in complex mixes? Avoid a tank mixing disaster by adding adjuvant Kantor.

Why use Kantor?

  • Speeds up the mixing process even with cold water
  • Helps difficult mixes homogenise in the tank & stay in solution
  • May help recover a difficult mix

Why use Kantor to optimise tank mixing & compatibility?

Save time & master mixing

Kantor contains a compatibility aid – a self-emulsifying agent – which helps products thoroughly mix together, even in cold water.

Nutrient mixing made easy

New tank mixing and compatibility studies show Kantor helps tricky micronutrient mixtures to dissolve properly in water – Kantor decreases flocculation & settling out. Crucially this means your plants will be able to absorb more of the nutrients, making applications more effective.

Valuable insurance

Adding Kantor to the tank before filling is a good insurance to avoid a mixing problem, and to achieve the dependable crop protection performance you need.

Tank mix recovery may be possible

Although you should take every precaution to avoid a tank mixing issue, with time and effort it may be possible to recover a problematic tank mix using Kantor. Once the products have been successfully re-suspended, apply with constant agitation.

How to avoid a tank mixing problem

Reminder for growers & sprayer operators

With care and implementation of best practice tank-filling guidance, you can avoid a tank mixing disaster.

  1. Periodically inspect agitation system for wear and tear – replace worn parts
  2. Start with a scrupulously clean sprayer
  3. Half fill the spray tank with water before adding any products
  4. Maintain good agitation throughout filling process
  5. Use correct mixing order
  6. Read product labels & follow guidance
  7. Jar test if unsure of compatibility
  8. Add compatibility adjuvant Kantor (at rate of 0.15% v/v) if water is cold and mixes complex, to help products dissolve. Kantor will also buffer pH, helping to prevent alkaline hydrolysis, so products remain stable at high pH.
  9. Add more water as products are added
  10. Make sure concentrates do not come in to contact with each other in the induction bowl
  11. Allow one product to completely clear the induction bowl before adding the next one
  12. Check slow to dissolve formulations like wettable powders and water dispersible granules are in solution before adding more
  13. Only mix up what you need – never leave a mixed solution in the spray tank overnight
  14. Clean the sprayer thoroughly between jobs
